Ore and St Helen’s Camera Club

OUR Print of The Year competition provided a real treat with more than 60 of members’ best photos on display. Glynn Bareham, from Maidstone, provided a positive, encouraging commentary in judging the prints.

Glynn judged the following photos as highly commended: Sydney Business District - Alan Harding; Dead Lock - Cazina Bromley; Rails to Nowhere - James Ball; Zebra Dustoff - Colin Rendle; Industrial Revolution - Colin Dengate; Distant Taj - Tony Sharp and Well, What Do You Think? - Paul Praeger.

Chris Davis was awarded third place with Tree In Snow and Tony Sharp clinched top place with Winter Sunrise, Derwent Water and second prize with Lattice Ice.

Our next meeting is a competition of prints and digital images versus Rye Camera Club. We meet at Park Road Methodist Church Hall, Upper Park Road, at 7.45pm on Tuesday, April 30. Log onto www.ore-st-helens.co.uk.
