Thanks to all involved

May I, through your paper, offer my thanks to all those involved on Sunday, May 1, at the Crowning of the Hastings May Queen.

We had some good weather (at last), and the Pageant went perfectly.

Thanks to the parents, the management and staff at eat@the Park café, the park rangers and the council, the bandstand was transformed into the perfect setting for a May Queen.

Flowers donated by Tesco added to the magic.

Alexandra Park is a beautiful setting for this event and I hope that everyone appreciates what we, as a community, have and how hard the staff work to allow us the privilege of nature at its best.

Finally, I would like to thank the young ladies, and one young man, who performed the intricate maypole dances brilliantly, and look forward to a similar good start to summer in the Park next year.
