A superb opera experience

We went to the White Rock Theatre on Saturday, April 23, to see and hear Verdi's Macbeth performed by Opera South East.

It was a superb operatic experience, beautifully sung, costumed, and staged with the outstanding accompaniment of the Sussex Concert Orchestra.

Our only disappointment was that the theatre was half full.

A missed opportunity for many who might have shared in this fantastic experience.

We consider ourselves fortunate, not only to have great entertainment venues on our doorstep on the South Coast but also a marvellous Company such as Opera South East to entertain us, making the Macbeth experience, on his 400th anniversary, an absolute delight.

We plan to enjoy many such evenings in the future and hope we will share this experience with those of your readers who do not wish to incur all the costs associated with London theatre experiences, and yet be able to hear and see well presented musical productions.

We hope our comments will draw attention to the brilliant productions of South East Opera and the Sussex Concert Orchestra here on the South Coast.
