Road is accident waiting to happen
I support Ron Ockwell in his efforts to get the police to enforce the traffic rules in the High Street.
I have seen cars travelling west from the junction of Lyon Street to the Methodist church, and cars driving east along the High Street past the Bedford Street junction.
And I don’t believe every vehicle seen going up the London Road from the High Street end is a delivery lorry or contains a disabled person.

Hide AdI have never seen any of these vehicles challenged by a member of the police.
The accident reported on the front page under the Ron Ockwell story was another accident waiting to happen: there is frequently a cluster of commercial vehicles opposite Morrisons in that narrow stretch of the Bedford Road.
