Wonderful care at Conquest

I want to praise Cookson Devas Ward at the Conquest Hospital where I stayed recently for a hip operation.

Having had seven operations over the past years, none at the Conquest, I have to say that this ward was absolutely excellent in every way and by far the best in my experience.

Notably, there was a wonderful efficiency coupled with tremendous kindness and warmth.

Every member of staff was outstanding, and really listened to me.

The ward was calm and I felt very secure. I cannot thank them enough.

So often people complain about the NHS and I do accept that there are issues of concern.

But there is also so much to be grateful for.

It grieves me sometimes that we can all be so quick to complain and slow to praise.
