It is good to see all kinds of sport being played throughout Hastings and St Leonard’s and pubs and shops are all open too.

Hastings Borough Council, however, has decided that lawn bowls in Hastings should remain non-existent and have not opened the greens at White Rock. Of course, they have closed the greens at Marina and in Alexandra Park permanently but we are presuming we will be able play again eventually because we are still honouring the terms of our lease on the clubhouse and paying regularly.

It is especially sad when private clubs such as Fairlight and Hillingdon are open for play, as is the Polegrove in Bexhill. It would be interesting to know the council’s reasoning.
