This time, Brown Dog Man went too far

MY patience finally exhausted, I confronted Brown Dog Man during my daily plod around the park this week.

I've become used to aggressive dogs running at me, barking, jumping and biting, but much less used to any degree of regret on the part of the owners, who, incredibly, rarely feel any need to apologise.

I've been the subject of this particular dog's attention on several previous occasions, and have always tried to carry on regardless.

But, this time, Brown Dog Man, and his brown dog, went too far.

After the dog had run at me eight or 10 times, barking aggressively, stopping me in my tracks and completely ignoring commands from the owner, I asked said owner if the word "sorry" might be appropriate, to which he replied with two unprintable words.

I'm afraid my response was at a similar level, but, still, I wonder what happened to common courtesy '“ not to mention dog training.
