Thanks for charity walk support

NOT only a personal thank you, but also from those who have used and benefited from the Coronary Rehabilitation Centre at the Conquest Hospital, Hastings, and the 20/20 Health Club at Crowhurst Park.

To the post ladies and post men and those individuals who gave so generously both in a cash donation and their support to the charity walk held on June 12 to raise money for equipment and assistance to help those recovering from heart intervention.

At present the apparatus to assist in the recovery of heart patients is sparse and the donations will help towards training and upmarket equipment.

The walk was over a distance of five kilometres and took place in cold, windy, damp and wet conditions.

Most heart patients will agree that a few months ago they would not have attempted such a walk, but have gained confidence due to the dedication of the nurses and staff of the rehabilitation centres.

Many supporters accompanied their friends and relatives on this walk and I would have found in difficult without the help of my son, Roy, to have completed the walk in the time I had set myself.

Thank you one and all.
