No sign yet of drivers slowing in Broad Oak Brede

With reference to the ‘crack down on dangerous motorists planned by Sussex Police, I view this with scepticism.

Some years ago, following our complaint to the police about the speeding, particularly by motorcyclists, on the B2089, a police officer visited. He explained there was no possibility of placing a speed trap on our stretch of road as it was “too dangerous”.

Only very recently, in response to further concerns raised, the solution offered was the erection of ‘Slow down in this area’ signs which were thought to be effective.

They are up and they are not.
