LETTER: Good luck to any new candidates

I would like to respond to Lesley Wilding’s letter (page 42, 19th March), in answer to mine of the 12th March.

What her letter has failed miserably to do, is to answer mine and other parishioners concerns about how our money is being spent and more importantly obtaining value for money. Surely a chairman has the right to question something, especially where public money is concerned, before she/he signs any document. Isn’t this known as good practice? Also, why is the sum of £16,500 mentioned in her letter?

Her reply has confirmed there appears to be an air of paranoia within the parish council. So to anybody who is brave/strong enough to stand for the parish council in May, good luck to you, as it was sad to see so many good councillors leave so prematurely. Why?
