I support ‘jab’ campaign

I write to express my wholehearted support for the Observer’s petition calling for Covid vaccinations to be made available throughout the network of community pharmacies.

I also echo the praise given by your correspondent Barbara Postion for Kampsons’ chemist / pharmacy in Wellington Place where I have received my annual flu vaccination for several years and whose professional team I am sure could help with the administration of the covid vaccines.

My only concern is being offered a ‘jab’ which my dictionary defines as ‘a quick punch or poke !’

On reflection, however, this might be preferable to ‘A shot in the arm !’
