How lucky we are to have the Downs

It was lovely to see on a bitter and windy Saturday inspiring young athletes and adults braving the elements as they ran determinedly and heroically around the beautiful Bexhill Downs at the cross country event.

How lucky our local children are to have this wonderful green space to challenge and enthuse them.

The Hastings Athletics Club runners ran amazingly and should be very proud of their achievements.

Not only were they a success on this freezing day but the event ran smoothly due to the excellent organisation and marshalling by some truly dedicated adults.

How fortunate we all are to have and share the wonderful Downs where children and young people can represent their local area with pride.
