The cadets enjoyed the unique opportunity to fly a Boeing 757 simulator, under the skillful guidance of Captain John Goodyer, a 787 pilot with Thomson Airways. Cadets were given a safety brief, then sat in the First Officer’s seat and took the controls; the cadets took-off from a simulated version of Gatwick Airport, and then completed a circuit to land back at the simulated airport safely.

The day ended with Air Cadets being given a personalised tour of the enormous 4,900 square meter facility, which houses various full motion flight simulators and state of the art training facilities.
