Help with Brigadier’s resting place

Can your readers help me please? Brig.General Norman Webber, a veteran of the Boer War and WW1, was a resident of Battle for some time . In his later years he lived at Kings Head mill on Caldbec Hill. He died in Bexhill Hospital on 19th April 1950. Despite my best efforts ,searching through East Sussex burial records and Ancestry on-line records, I have not been able to find any press reports of his death or where he was laid to rest. I wonder whether he was cremated? Any information would be gladly accepted.
