Cranleigh students impress at Sports Day

The annual Glebelands Sports Day took place on Wednesday 24th June. The weather was fantastic and the attitude and effort of the students was equally impressive. The traditional athletic events took place, alongside the Outdoor arena (Mini Olympic Competition), Ultimate Frisbee and Tug of War.

Throughout the day the level of competition was amazing and there were several stand out performances. Jade Lindo broke the school 200m (27.03) and 300m (43.72) records, Alice Lanning broke the 100m record (13.28), that had stood for 30 years! Tom Westerman broke the Year 10 boys 100m record, running 11.66, again breaking a record that had stood for over 30 years. Finally Henry Gooch won the Year 9 boys shot putt, with a record throw of 12m.37cm.
