Change of president at Inner Wheel club

During the past year the club has been very active raising money for Kent, Surrey & Sussex Air Ambulance and now incoming President, Janet, has chosen to support ‘The Brain Tumour Charity’. This is the leading brain tumour charity in the UK - they do pioneering research leading to real breakthroughs in diagnosis and treatment. Despite over 9,000 people being diagnosed annually and 5,000 losing their lives, research receives less than 2% of the UK’s total cancer research spending. Sadly it seems that in the UK brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 and members of Horsham Inner Wheel are hoping to raise a considerable sum to donate to this important work.

Fund-raising is achieved in many ways not only for home charities but also for overseas projects and members will be busy thinking up new ideas to maximise the sums raised while having lots of fun along the way!
