Against council rules

I AGREE with Mr Daggett's letter (Gazette, August 27) and Mr Francis (September 3), re the planning application for the Rustington Convalescent Home.

Surely the only point of relevance is planning rules. As Barrett Southern is, for financial reasons, not going to build any affordable housing, the application should be thrown out. Think of all the time and money this would save everybody.

If Barrett was going to comply with Arun District Council's rules, then that would be the time to bring up all the other objections.
