LETTER: Some letters way too long

I recall there used to be, with good reason, a limit to the length of readers' letters published in the Observer.

Not any more, apparently.

In letters (November 25), a 1,000-word diatribe from Hastings Design Group was so impenetrably dull, I suggest not one of your readers could possible have stayed awake long enough to read it.

Important information it may (or may not) have been, who knows; but to occupy so many columns of your limited letters space is, frankly, ridiculous.

I hope I have been sufficiently succinct to be considered for publication.
