Generosity of time and spirit

I am proud to have been re-elected and to be able to continue, with Cllr Mike Turner, to serve the ward and the borough.

Generosity of time and spirit were the hallmark of this local election.

Across Baird everybody turned the election into a conversation; sharing our ideas and views, celebrating improvement and expressing concerns on those issues still needing action.

It was rewarding to be a part of this reminder of what politics is supposed to be: an exchange of ideas, a mutual appreciation of difference and a means to meet and work together for a better place.

It is a lesson that Cllr Turner and I won’t forget.

I am grateful to Cllr Mike Turner who, back in 2010, won the trust of Baird for Labour; together, we will now continue working for a Baird Ward that is a pleasant place for all.
