Katy Bourne’s video log: Find out what young people really think of the police
Members of the Police & Crime Commissioner’s Youth Commission spent the day at the Brighton Youth Arts Festival as part of their Sussex-wide consultation called the ‘Big Conversation’.
They spoke to over 80 young people about their relationship with the police and how it could be improved. Some of the views gathered on the day included: police need to be seen as part of society - there to help, not to hide from; ask young people how they think they should be treated when stopped by the police.
