Christmas is fast approaching and our fundraising team are busy preparing for the festive season. They have come up with some great ways to spread the cheer whilst raising vital funds for Chestnut Tree.

Schools, Nurseries and Youth Groups are invited to hold their very own Reindeer Run, a great opportunity for children of all ages to get involved and have some festive fun.

Every child who takes part will receive a set of reindeer antlers and a flashing red nose, and the organisers will also receive one free adult Santa suit, complete with beard, per group. All they need to do then is set themselves a Reindeer Run challenge, and raise as much sponsorship as they can.

For those less inclined to don reindeer antlers and run around a park, on Friday 11 December we are asking you to Get Festive and hold a Christmas fundraiser, or get sponsored to wear something festive for the day. This is open to anyone regardless of whether you are at work, college, doing the shopping or just watching TV.

Christmas is a happy time for many but can be a very difficult time for the children and families cared for by Chestnut Tree. Our community nurses are currently supporting end of life care at home, difficult at all times but even more so at this time of year. They will also be working hard this Christmas supporting families who have lost loved ones.

The money you raise will help us to reach more children and families in East Sussex, and provide the care that they need both in their own homes and at the house itself, at Christmas and all year round.
