HUNDREDS of pounds have been presented to schools that took part in the Observer’s Cash for Schools offer.
Editor-in-chief Keith Ridley handed over a £250 cheque to staff at Little Ridge School, Little Ridge Avenue, St Leonards, as the school which had collected the most mastheads.
More than a dozen other borough schools have received cash.
The scheme involved pupils cutting out Observer mastheads and sending them into us. Each one was worth 1p for senior schools and 2p for infant, junior and primary schools.
Mr Ridley said: “We are delighted to help bring in a little extra cash to schools who took part in our offer launched earlier this year.”
