The Observer is backing BBC Sussex’s first Give a Gift Day, set to be held in Hastings later this month.
From 10am to midday on Saturday, January 30, people will be invited along to The Stade, Hastings, to bag a bargain and help raise money for BBC Children in Need.
“We’re looking for your new and unused, unwanted Christmas gifts,” said presenter Mark Carter.
“We’ll accept almost anything, but no homemade food, knives or electrical goods please.”
Gifts can be dropped off during at the BBC offices in Queens Road, Brighton, or at the Observer office in Telford Road, St Leonards, during working hours.
Items can also be dropped off anytime from 7am on January 30 at The Stade only.
As well as getting rid of unwanted items, visitors can bag a bargain for themselves on the day – all in aid of Children in Need.
BBC Sussex presenters Danny Pike, Allison Ferns and Mark Carter will be broadcasting live from the Stade from 6am to midday on January 30.
