A local charity that offers respite breaks to disadvantaged children and their parents has announced the appointment of a new chairman.
Charity for Kids, who have a respite caravan at Crowhurst Park, have, to date, supported over 25 local families. The caravan is offered to local families in need of a Respite Break. The charity’s Chief Executive Officer, Paul Harris, CEO said: “We have a superb facility at Crowhurst Park for local families.”
Announcing that Jay Wootten is Charity for Kids new chairman, Paul said: “As a charity we are now focussing on our next big project and to do this we need to add to our existing committee of volunteers. Jay is a welcomed addition to our team.”
Mr Harris invited more people to apply to be considered for a holiday. “The Caravan is offered to local families who are in need of a respite break, not only is it offered to local disadvantaged children, but also to parents and siblings who are in need of a break,” he said. “But we are still looking to support more.”
The caravan comes with passes for the leisure club, including the gym & swimming pool. To be considered for the Charity for Kids respite caravan visit: website www.charityforkids.co.uk
