Jamie Cavanagh Davis and Phil Sleet launched the on-line App at the Hastings Family Day, in Alexandra Park at the end of July.

Jamie explained: “Being a father with two children who both go to activity clubs, it’s hard to keep up to date with timetables, especially when clubs have rehearsals.

“Our aim is to scrap all the distracting information of other classes or rehearsal times and show members or parents their specific time table via our search engine.

“After creating family events in our local town of Hastings and holding open days for activity clubs we have found parents messaging us continually asking where are the best dance clubs, gymnastic classes or kickboxing clubs .

“This is why we have created ‘The Local Activity App’ which provides activity clubs’ information quick and easy in one place, helping local people to find them.”

He added: “One of the difficulties for parents is finding the right activities, at the right times, in the right region for their children.

“It is difficult to keep track of schedules or sift through information for the items you’re looking for. Posters, print ads, and community guides don’t always work like they used to in the fast-paced modern world. Today people rely on their smart phones for information.

“The Local Activity App provides a way for clubs, businesses and organisations to share information, promote their activity, and communicate information about their activities in real time.

Having a single app that pulls the information together in one spot can save time, frustration, and provide a better, more fluid approach to getting kids involved in their community.”

The app is available now for Android, Kindle and Google Play and waiting approval for Apple’s IOS. For more go to www.localactivityapp.com.
