Charity for Kids is hosting a family fun day next Saturday (March 28) as part of the grand opening of the all access play facility it has installed in Alexandra Park.
The organisation, set up in 2011 to help sick and disabled youngsters in Hastings and Rother, is made up of volunteers who put on fundraising events throughout the year in order to meet grant applications for local children in need.
It also has a respite caravan that is used to provide holidays for those in need.
Paul Harris, Charity for Kids chairman, said: “Our objective for this project was to be able to fund a fully accessible piece of play equipment for local families who are unable to use the normal equipment you would find at the park. We are grateful for all those who have supported our fundraising events that have made this possible.”
Laura Dearsley, Charity for Kids events coordinator, said: “We hope as many people as possible will join us for some family fun on March 28. We plan to have painting, clay and chalk activities, and a treasure hunt for all to enjoy. So pop along to Alexandra Park from 1pm to 3pm and enjoy some family fun.”
