A SCHOOLBOY has come top in an art competition designed to promote greener ways of travelling.
Munro Scott, who is 11 and attends Blacklands School in Osborne Close, took part in the contest run by bus company Stagecoach.
As part of its awareness drive to encourage people to think more about the environment, the firm challenged Blacklands pupils to design artwork and slogans based on the subject ‘greener ways to travel’.
The top design chosen by the management and staff at Stagecoach was Munro’s piece entitled titled Environmentally Friendly.
He was presented with gift vouchers and a copy of his completed display vinyl by Stagecoach’s operations manager Rachel Geliamassi and engineer Mark Suggitt.
The vinyls will be seen by bus passengers across town.
