Motoristsface longdelays atBroad Oak

Today (Friday) the road will be closed from Cackle Street, south of the cross roads, with access to residents only.

It is expected to cause disruption to Brede’s weekly farmer’s market.

On Saturday the road works are north of the cross roads on the A28 as it continues toward Northiam with a road closure in the morning and a stop and go system during the afternoon.

Diversions will be signposted.

The works are also expected to cause disruption to local bus services.

Resident Peter Stevens said: “I only found out when I saw a sign while driving in Hastings.

“Residents should have been informed about this weeks in advance of the work taking place. It will cause serious disruption.”
