Motorcyclist dies on Harbour Road

Emergency services were called to the scene, close to the industrial estate at 3.43pm.

The Sussex Air Ambulance attended and the road was closed to allow it to land.

Sadly, paramedics confirmed that the motorcyclist, a man believed to be in his 20s, had died.

Harbour Road is a long cul-de-sac and to enable access to and from Rye Harbour essential traffic was diverted via a track running through Environment Agency land to Dogs Hill Road, Winchelsea Beach.
