A monthly business breakfast club in St Leonards celebrated its first anniversary with a visit from council dignitaries on Wednesday (April 6).

Deputy mayor Judy Rogers and Rother District Council chairman Jimmy Carroll joined the Chairman’s Business and Community Breakfast Club, hosted by Brett McLean, at The Azur at the Marina Pavilion.

Meetings are on the first Wednesday of the month at 7am and its purpose is to link businesses with community organisations and charities.

The cost is £8 and provides attendees with a full English buffet breakfast, toast, cereal and fruit salad and an external guest speaker.

Last year the club’s very first speaker was Hastings and Rye MP Amber Rudd.

Other confirmed speaker’s include The High Sheriff and The Bishop of Lewes.

Brett also operates a lunch club on the third Wednesday monthly.
