A SCHOOLGIRL raised more than £300 for her disabled friend.
Molly Differ, who is eight and attends St Mary Star-of-the-Sea School in St Leonards, took her first Holy Communion at the Holy Redeemer Church on Sunday, June 23 and thought it would be fun to organise a charity raffle for her friends to help her friend Milly Bewick Clahane who was born with quadriplegic cerebral palsy.
She wrote letters to local companies to ask for prize donations. In all Molly raised £322 which will be donated to Demelza children’s hospice.
Her mum Lucy said: “We are incredibly proud of Molly for her thoughtfulness and her huge achievement at such a young age.
“She has such a big heart and just wanted to help Milly to stay happy. As Molly says - ‘Milly has the loveliest smile’. We are in total admiration of just how much Molly has achieved.”
