Hastings was rocking to the spirit of Mardi Gras at the weekend as the Fat Tuesday Festival got underway.
On Saturday around 40 bands and artists played nearly 200 short sets travelling between bars and restaurants.
Sunday saw the colourful umbrella parade from the Old Town to the old Observer building in the town centre.
The procession featured people dressing up in colourful costumes with decorated umbrellas and was led by Doctor Savage and the New Orleans style Second Line band.
The fun continued at the Observer building, which was hosting the Sonic Sunday avante garde music event.
The highlight of the annual festival was Fat Tuesday itself on Tuesday February 9 with live bands providing a non-stop party atmosphere in Old Town pubs and bars.
From its conception in 2009, Hastings Fat Tuesday has become the largest Mardi Gras celebration in the UK.
