Man robbed while walking along A259

He was punched and hit over the head by two men, causing a four inch gash, at around 3am.

It is believed the attackers stopped their car and offered their victim a lift before robbing him.

The pair were both white. One was aged 23, of medium build with longish brown hair and a southern accent. The other was 17, with short hair, 6ft tall and of slim build.

They made off in a small white car, possibly a Peugeot, with 5 and a mobile phone.

The victim was treated for his injuries at the Eastbourne District General Hospital.
