Man held at knife-point in St Leonards

A man was threatened at knife-point during an attempted robbery.

The young victim was in Chatfield Close, St Leonards on Monday, December 17. The victim,walking along the pathway at the rear of street when the attempt took place between 6.30pm and 6.50pm.

Police believe there are two suspects. Both are described as white men, aged 18-22, about 6ft tall, and of medium build.

One was wearing a black Adidas hooded top and the second was wearing a dark blue Addidas hooded top.

Detective Constable Paul Semple said: “They stopped the man, who is in his late teens, and threatened him with a knife, but he managed to get away without injury and without losing any of his property.

“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to call us via 101 quoting serial 1401 of 17/12. Alternatively, call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
