Man fighting for life after being found with head injuries

A ST LEONARDS man is fighting for his life in hospital after being found lying in the road in Bexhill with a serious head injury in the early hours of this morning (Sunday).

Emergency services were called to Kings Close at 12.19am. The man, who is 38, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and later transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath where his condition on Sunday morning was described as critical.

Detective Inspector Andy Harbour from East Sussex CID said: “At this stage, there is no clear indication how the victim has suffered these injuries and I would like to hear from anyone who may be able to assist us in this direction.
