Man fighting for life after being found with head injuries

Emergency services were called to Kings Close at 12.19am. The man, who is 38, was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton and later transferred to Hurstwood Park Hospital in Haywards Heath where his condition on Sunday morning was described as critical.

Detective Inspector Andy Harbour from East Sussex CID said: “At this stage, there is no clear indication how the victim has suffered these injuries and I would like to hear from anyone who may be able to assist us in this direction.

“If you saw the man lying in the street, witnessed how the injuries were sustained or have any information that could help us, please call Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 48 of 29/07. Alternatively, please call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 5655 111.”
