Man charged with Christmas Day murder in Littlehampton

THE BROTHER of a man who was killed in Littlehampton on Christmas Day has been charged with his murder, police have said.

Vaides Juras, 33, of Beach Road, is accused of stabbing Lithuanian national, Bronius Juras, 38, of Bayford Road.

Police were originally called to an address in Beach Road, at about 9pm, on Christmas Day, following reports of a stabbing.

A subsequent post-mortem examination revealed that Mr Juras died of a single stab wound to the heart.

The charged man is due to appear at Worthing Magistrates, later on today (Thursday, December 29).

Initially 12 people were arrested in connection with the murder.

Sussex Police said three men have been bailed for four weeks while inquiries continue, and eight people have been released without charge.

Police are still appealing for anyone with any information about the incident to come forward and call 101, quoting Operation Moorfoot.
