Man bailed over Hastings gun incident

A man who was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm after gunshots were fired in Hastings on Friday night has been released on police bail.

The 45-year-old has been bailed until November 20 while Sussex Police continues its investigations.

Officers attended Cornwallis Gardens at around 10.30pm to reports of shots being heard and a window smashed.

No one had been injured, and a search of the area recovered a gun in Cambridge Road, near to where the shots were heard.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk quoting serial 1696 of 18/09.
