The following are court results for the Observer area from Hastings Magistrates’ Court from November 10 - 11.

November 10:

Adam Skinner (aged 29), of Ashford Road, Bethersden, Kent, pleaded guilty to causing £300 damage to a Fiat car at Camber on July 10. He also pleaded guilty to a charge of driving dangerously at the Western Car park, Old Lydd Road, Camber, on July 10. He was banned from driving for 12 months and the court made a community order with a 12 week curfew requirement.

November 11:

Daniel Dawson (aged 23), of St James Road, Hastings, pleaded guilty of assaulting a police officer. The offence took place at Hastings on September 12. The court made a community order.

Hayley Vane (aged 34), of Wealden Way, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to driving a Volkswagen Golf on Royal Military Road, Winchelsea, on October 24 while over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 65mg. The legal limit is 35mg. She was fined £160 and banned for driving for 17 months.

Luke Alford-Hussey (aged 20), of Marley Rise, Battle, pleaded guilty to being in possession of a quantity of cannabis. He was fined £133.

Robert Lowe (aged 38), of Magdalen Road, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to stealing meat products to the value of £30 from Co-Op at Bexhill on June 20. He was given an eight week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £30 compensation.

Dion Pearce (aged 20), of Halton Crescent, Hastings, pleaded guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Hastings on October 24. She was fined £295 and the court made a community order.

Roger Playfoot (aged 30) of Wickenham Avenue, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to threatening behaviour. The offence took place at Bexhill on July 20. The court made a community order.

Adele Joiner (aged 52), of Hobbs Lane, Beckley, pleaded guilty to driving a Peugeot vehicle on Main Street, Peasmarsh, on October 28 while twice over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 70mg. The legal limit is 35mg. She was fined £100 and banned from driving for 17 months.

Samuel Skinner (aged 20), of no fixed address, was sentenced to 26 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Hastings on August 22. The court heard he in breach of a suspended sentence made by magistrates on August 4 following a conviction for common assault, criminal damage and battery. He was also ordered to pay £50 compensation.

Kevin Daniel, aged 22, of Bohemia Road, St Leonards, was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to assault by beating. The offence took place at Hastings on September 15. Magistrates said the reason for the sentence was because of a sustained attack on a vulnerable victim and there were previous convictions.
