Littlehampton ActionBoat pirates

IT MAY not be the Caribbean, but Littlehampton has launched its own band of pirates onto the high seas.

To celebrate Jack Sparrow’s latest piratical adventure, Stranger Tides, Littlehampton’s ActionBoat venture took its own motley crew out to sea.

The company has launched its own Pirate Parties for junior seafarers and invited a group of children from Littlehampton and Worthing, suitably dressed for the occasion, to try out the experience.

They boarded ActionBoat’s 12-seater rigid inflatable Black Hawk for a treasure hunt, with clues to lead them to their plunder.

The fourth Pirates of the Caribbean epic inspired ActionBoat managing director Nick Tree to try out the idea on family and friends, and now it is on offer to all young landlubbers.

He said: “I love seeing the delight in the children’s faces as they puzzle over the clues which lead them to the buried treasure.

“We tested out the parties first and our young shipmates were not the only ones thrilled to be on board experiencing a party with a difference – mums and dads could not stop talking about the action-packed memorable adventure!”

The treasure hunt parties follow the River Arun from Littlehampton harbour.

All passengers are kitted out in life jackets and pirates must be accompanied on board by an adult.

Packages are tailored to individual requirements and prices vary accordingly, starting from £10 per pirate.
