Lions appeal will help to save lives

A BOGNOR Regis club will be doing its bit to '¨help nigh time ambulance flights move a step closer.

The introduction of Kent, Surrey and Sussex Air Ambulance night flying operations will 
be assisted by Bognor Regis Lions Club along with 
from others in the south 
east.

The have already raised £150,000 towards the target of the Lions district appeal of £250,000 in the last 16 months.

This funding has been raised through a range of special events, including swimathons, 
Easter egg events and club donations.

Last Saturday Lion Clubs presented essential flight crew night flying helmets and goggles to the service.

With further funding to follow the appeal 
will enable the necessary further specialist 
equipment and facilities to be provided leading to the introduction of the 
first 24 hour two-pilot air ambulance operations.
