Last chance to back a new town guide

There are just a few days left to give your backing to a project which aims to publish a unique new guide book showcasing the best of Hastings and St Leonards.

Rachel Heavens and Ness Mann set up Cheeky Peek Publications a year ago, inspired by their mutual love of books.

Both women are talented illustrators and have created a beautiful publication showcasing all that Hastings and St Leonards has to offer.

The 100-page guide book will feature illustrations, photos and information about how to find the best and most interesting places to visit in both towns.

The book will also appeal to locals as a lot of the pages will cover the humour, history and heritage of both towns, including some stories sourced from local people.

A number of local businesses have given their backing to the project, including the Observer Building and St Leonards pub.

Rachel and Ness are aiming to raise £5,000 via Crowdfunder to cover the first print run of the book.

So far 89 people and businesses have given financial backing to the project.

But with the total currently standing at £3,297, there is still a way to go before the 12pm deadline on October 16.

If the project has not hit its £5,000 target by then, it will not receive any of the money pledged by its supporters.

If you would like to donate towards the guide book, log on to and search for Cheeky Peek Studio.
