Hastings and Rye MP, Amber Rudd will join the Southern Landlords Association (SLA) and local landlords at a meeting to discuss Hastings Borough Council’s proposed Selective Licensing Scheme (SLS).
The meeting will be held at the White Rock Hotel, Hastings, this evening (Friday) February 20 at 6pm.
This event follows on from previous meetings between the SLA, local landlords and the council, which raised concerns over the proposed SLS which would see landlords charged around £400 to license each property.
Amber Rudd will speak at the meeting and public law barrister Andy Lane with expertise in these matters will be there to offer advice.
A spokesman for the SLA said: “Come and find out the situation so far, how it might affect you, and help plan the way forward.”
