Stagecoach has insisted it is working as quickly as possible to replace old bus timetables with updated versions across Hastings.
A resident in the town, who did not wish to be named, claimed a number of bus shelters had no timetables following a change in some services at the end of April.
She said: “Since the bus timetables changed on April 26, there has been no timetables at all in a number of bus stops in Hastings.
“There are notices to say the timetables have changed and it gives you a phone number and website to refer to, but neither of them are any use.
“Whoever is responsible for this have left customers in absolute bedlam as to what’s going on. Tourists who come to the town will have no idea what’s happening.
“Some of the buses I catch run every hour or two hours, but when I arrive at the stop, I have no idea when the next one is due or whether I’ve just missed one.
“They should be absolutely ashamed. They should have had the new ones ready when they took the old ones down.”
A spokesperson for Stagecoach, which runs a number of the services in the town, said: “We have had more than a thousand timetables to change. We are working through them as quickly as possible.”
