A shop in Hastings was robbed at knifepoint on Friday night (March 10).

It is believed that one person carried out the robbery at the One Stop store in Blackman Avenue at around 10.20pm.

Eyewitnesses reported that police forensic teams remained on the scene until around 3am this morning (Saturday).

Sussex Police confirmed the incident had taken place, but has not released any further information at this time.

The incident comes less than a fortnight after a knife-wielding man robbed the One Stop shop in Sedlescombe Road North.

A shop worker sustained a cut to his hand during the robbery on February 26.

It is not known whether police are linking the two incidents.
