Hastings Borough Council’s StreetGames project co-ordinator Ken Dullaway has been recognised nationally by the Football Association (FA) for his good work.

“He has been recognised for his work with young people in Hastings winning the FA Football Futures national award in the category of Outstanding Adult Supporting Youth Leaders” said Cllr Dawn Poole, the council’s lead member for leisure.

She added: “The FA only present five awards so this is a very prestigious award, and one that Ken really deserves. He works tirelessly for the young people of Hastings in his role for the council delivering sports activities and supporting young people to gain coaching qualifications. Well Done Ken!”

Ken will be travelling to St George’s Park, the English Football Association’s national football centre on a 330-acre site at Burton-upon-Trent, Staffordshire on 26 July to receive his award.

Ken has played a key role in helping young people from all backgrounds get involved in sport and inspiring them.

Girls only football takes place at Alexandra Park Multi-Use Games Area on Wednesday evenings 5.30 – 6.30pm - all abilities welcome.
