The Jerwood Gallery has been awarded a WorldHost Recognition plaque for their commitment to improving customer service standards.

Staff and volunteers at the Jerwood Gallery came to together last month to take part in the unique WorldHost customer service training programme, which offers gold standard customer service training and has been used to train more than 10,000 volunteers at the London Olympics, as well as top hotels and retailers nationwide.

Businesses can receive recognition status once 50 per cent of their staff have completed the training programme. The Jerwood has become the first gallery in Sussex to become WorldHost Recognised and is part of a growing number of businesses and organisations in Hastings which have achieved WorldHost recognition.

Rebecca Fletcher, front of house coordinator, said: “We were delighted to have been given the opportunity to be part of the WorldHost training scheme. The training was useful for our staff and volunteer team in supporting them to develop a unified approach in delivering a more focused customer service.”
