The weather may be set to turn colder but a mild winter has seen gardens filled with uncharacteristic colour for January.
There have already been many reports of daffodils blooming in December and keen gardener Carole Woodland has now sent in these pictures of beautiful flowers in her Cooden Drive garden, taken by husband Ian.
As well as the Jack in the green primrose, snowflake snowdrop, helleborus and camelia pictured here, her garden also has geraniums, honesty, honeysuckle and azalea in bloom.
Carole said: “The next pictures may be rather wintery, but at least we can spend our time looking through seed catalogues and in my case planting sweet peas inside for an early show.”
