Is this Bexhill's tallest sunflower?

THIS impressive sunflower is over 3.2 metres (just over 11ft) tall and proof that mother nature knows best.

It grew in Richard Everest's garden.

Richard, of Woodsgate Park, has grown his own sunflowers for years, but he is not going to steal the credit for this one.

"We have quite a lot of sunflowers at the bottom of the garden that we planted ourselves but this one looks like it was planted by the birds!"

The average height of a sunflower is around 2.4metres, but this specimen has passed that and hasn't stopped yet.

"We measured it this morning and it had grown since we measured it for or five days ago. I would think it has got another couple of days growth in it yet.

"I just hope it doesn't get too windy and get blown down."

It is the biggest sunflower in town ... unless you know differently.
