This week we lead on the heartbreaking story of a vulnerable woman who is due to be evicted from her care home in three weeks - but no suitable alternative accommodation can be found for her.

We also report on the hoax bomb threat which led to a local primary school being evacuated, there is anger over ongoing flytipping in Ore, and the NHS trust in charge of a mental health unit has banned smoking. We would love to hear your views on this.

On a lighter note, tickets went on sale this week for a three-day music event on Hastings Pier, featuring some of the biggest indie bands of the 1990s, including Reef, Cast and Dodgy.

And if the natural sounds of the seaside are more your thing, then you have a lot in common with holidaymaker Mark Williamson. He loved the sounds of the Stade, the pier and the Old Town so much he recorded them and made them available to buy.

We’ve been inundated with pictures of children in some wonderful World Book Day costumes - the pick of the bunch can be found on pages 46 and 47.

This week’s features include analysis on Sussex Police’s recent inspection report, a focus on the work of the Respond Academy and historian Ion Castro takes us back to the time that the town centre resounded to the sound of leather on willow.
