Hundreds left without power for hours after Wisborough Green outage

Around 700 households were affected by the outage, a spokesperson for SSE said.

The spokesperson said: “At 17.18 on Monday 16 February, we received reports of power being out in the Petworth Road area, affecting around 700 customers.

“As there was no immediate sign of damage, line patrols attended and found trees resting on the cables in Wisborough Green.

“These were removed and all customers were back on supply by 02.54 this morning.

“We’d like to thank our customers for their patience while we worked to remove the trees and restore their power.”
